Well-Bean Founder & CEO Recognized in 40 Under 40 Awards!

We are so excited to share that our Founder & CEO, Melissa Brown was among 40 convenience service industry professionals recognized in the latest issue of Automatic Merchandiser Magazine!

Automatic Merchandiser magazine, along with its sister brand, VendingMarketWatch.com launched its inaugural 40 Under 40 Awards program. This program recognizes professionals who are making a difference in the vending, micro market, and office coffee fields.

More than 100 nominations were submitted and a selection panel consisting of the Automatic Merchandiser editorial and executive team met in July to select the class of 2021!

Melissa launched Well-Bean Coffee Roasters as an office coffee operator back in 2013. Her boutique operation grew rapidly, specializing in providing coffee & breakroom services across multiple offices in the Triangle area. Since then, she has not only supplied many coffee lovers with high-quality craft coffee but she's helping change lives in the process.

The first coffee bean imported for Well-Bean Coffee was a single-origin, micro-lot bean from Nicaragua. It's since developed into one of our most popular medium roasts - Hot Mess

To this day, Well-Bean still directly trades from the same farm in Nicaragua, solidifying its mission to create a more sustainable lifestyle  for its farmers. Direct trade allows farmers to see 50 percent more profits.

Melissa is proud to work with New Song Mission to help enrich the lives of the children of Nicaragua. As a direct trade company, Well-Bean also provides a more stable working environment for coffee farmers. Even as a bustling entrepreneur, Melissa always makes time to enjoy life.

She is no stranger to the spotlight having been invited as a panelist speaker at multiple engagements. Melissa even appeared on HGTV’s “Love it or List it” and as a contestant on Fear Factor.

Melissa is a loving wife and mother of two boys, is very active in her local church, and loves experiencing new cultures as she travels the world. She’s equally as passionate about red wine as she is about coffee.
